Day 1 – Cairo → El Fayoum
Your tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cairo at 07:00 AM, then drive approximately 1 hour to El Fayoum. Upon arrival, you will switch to a 4×4 vehicle to begin your desert adventure.

Start your visit at Tunis Village, a charming artistic village located on a hill overlooking a large saltwater lake. Famous for its pottery workshops and stunning desert views, Tunis Village is considered one of the most beautiful places in Egypt.

Continue to Qarun Lake, one of the oldest natural lakes in the world and the third-largest lake in Egypt, believed to be a remnant of ancient Lake Maurice.

Next, head to Wadi El Rayan to explore the famous Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls — a unique natural phenomenon and the largest waterfalls in Egypt.

From there, continue driving deeper into the desert to reach Whales Valley (Wadi Al-Hitan), a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Egypt’s Western Desert. This extraordinary location contains fossil remains of the earliest, now-extinct suborder of whales (Archaeoceti), offering an incredible glimpse into Earth’s prehistoric past.

Enjoy sandboarding, explore the Magic Lake, and admire the breathtaking sand dunes — one of Egypt’s most scenic desert destinations. With some luck, you may also spot local wildlife such as the slender-horned gazelle.

After a day full of exploration, enjoy dinner and overnight camping or desert accommodation near Wadi El Hitan or Wadi El Rayan. Experience a serene desert night under a star-filled sky.

Day 2 – Return to Cairo
Wake up early to enjoy the peaceful desert morning. After breakfast, spend some free time taking in the surrounding nature or revisit nearby sites for photos. Then, drive back to Cairo, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
